I am currently working as the Head of Product at Atila, an ed-tech startup that helps students easily find and apply to scholarships & get mentorships. USRI 2022 Design Showcase Video: Emotion Tracking Artificial Intelligence in Cars

In the summer of 2022, I completed a 16-week summer research internship completed under the supervision of Dr. Luke Stark. We focused on emotion-tracking artificial intelligence in cars. This is my 10-minute presentation exploring some highlights from my USRI paper including an overlook of the industry, the companies we explored, and some ethical concerns with this technology. Atila

I am the Head of Product at Atila.
Most of my focus has been on growing and establishing our AI search engine Atlas. Atlas can find or summarize anything on Youtube using OpenAI Whisper, UKP Labs BERT’s sentence transformer model, and BART LFQA. I am focusing on developing on our growth strategy and gettnig user feedback. I recently had the opportunity to present Atlas at CUCAI 2023.

Exploring the Debates Surrounding Algorithmc Trading

An introduction to my end of year project, this paper explores the pros and cons of algorithmic trading. I focused on users thoughts surrouding faster and more precise trading, lower costs, and increasing market liquidity that contributes to greater market quality. On the other end I explore the claims from critics that argue that algorithmic trading is highly unregulated, biased, and volatile, resulting in undesired outcomes where losses can accumulate quickly.

Non-Fungible Tokens, NBA Top Shot, and the Future of Material Culture

I wrote my paper on the rise of the blockchain and non-fungible tokens, specifically exploring NFT services like NBA Top Shot and how they have the ability to create a de-materialized culture, and shape the future of digital consumption in modern society. NBA Top shot is an online marketplace that allows basketball fans from around the world to trade and collect official NBA licensed highlights, or what they call “moments”

Atila Schools and Jobs Report

Over the past few months, I have worked with my peers on the marketing team at Atila to create a 2020 Post-Secondary Schools and Jobs Guide. This ebook was created to help prospective university students learn about which schools placed students at the top companies in industries like Biomedical, Consulting, Investment Banking and Tech. I co-wrote the tech chapter of the ebook, as well as created compelling graphics to help convey our findings to the readers.
